Product description
BabyDan Flex L StepFree is a wide and flexible wall-mounted safety gate designed to secure different areas in your home. It can be used as a fireplace guard, room divider, or to restrict access to stairs, doorways, and other areas that are not safe for children.
The StepFree version features a flat, floor-level threshold in the gate section. This helps reduce the risk of tripping and makes everyday passing through the gate feel more natural – especially when carrying a child, laundry, or shopping bags. The flat threshold also makes it easier for robot vacuum cleaners to move between rooms.
The gate can be opened in both directions and operated with one hand. The structure can also be extended with additional small and large sections, available separately.

BabyDan Flex XL StepFree is an excellent solution for securing fireplaces and other areas in the home that children should not have access to. Its flexible design allows the gate to be adapted to large and unusually shaped spaces.

Flex L StepFree can be used to secure spaces from 90 cm up to 278 cm wide. If needed, the structure can be extended further with additional small and large sections, available separately.

Care instructions
Clean the gate using warm soapy water or a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or bleach. If used outdoors, treat all exposed metal parts with a rust inhibitor. Some rusting may still occur despite protective treatment.
Safe use around fireplaces
If the gate is used as a fireplace guard, it should be placed at least 75 cm away from the heat or fire source and at least 90 cm away from an open fire.
Every fireplace and wood-burning stove reaches different temperatures, so these distances should be treated as guidelines only. Before positioning the gate, test the heat source at its maximum output. If the gate becomes hot to the touch, move it further away from the heat source.
If the recommended distances cannot be maintained, the structure can be extended using additional sections available separately.
